Echte Meisjes op de Prairie: 1st episode

The first episode of "Echte Meisjes op de Prairie" aired yesterday on RTL 5. The TV program (hosted by Patty Brard and featuring ten former candidates of reality shows) only drew 319.000 viewers (market share: 4.8 %). These figures can be considered as disappointing. Actually it is the least-watched episode of the "Echte Meisjes" series, according to the Dutch audience measurement company "Stichting KijkOnderzoek". "Echte Meisjes op de Prairie" is the follow-up to "Echte Meisjes in de Jungle" (aka Reality Queens of the Jungle) which started in March 2011 with 763.000 viewers and "Echte Meisjes Op Zoek Naar Zichzelf" (aka Reality Queens in search of Nirvana) which debuted one year later with 493.000 viewers.

Dr Kazem explaining the eyelid correction process

Patty Brard was invited this morning on RTL 4 program "Koffietijd". She talked about her latest TV show "Echte Meisjes op de Prairie" which will premiere at 9.30 pm on RTL 5. She also discussed a special subject with her favourite plastic surgeon Dr. Farid Kazem: "eyelid corrections". She admitted that she used Botox to have non-surgical eyelid lifts.

Patty on "Koffietijd"

Patty Brard will be a guest on "Koffietijd" tomorrow at 10.00 am on RTL 4. She will promote her new TV show (Echte Meisjes op de Prairie) and will be accompanied by Dr. Farid Kazem (plastic surgeon) to talk about eyelid corrections.

José to publish her biography?

José Hoebee would like to publish her biography. The former Luv' singer had ups and downs in her life and career (glory years in the 1970's and 1980's, her marriage with record producer Will Hoebee who died last year, her motherhood, her comebacks, her recent bankruptcy...). She has a lot of material for her book. Her fans appreciated the online columns she wrote between 2003 and 2006 and still miss them.

Patty Brard: "Vliegende Hollanders is wrongly edited"

Patty Brard was interviewed by Mathijs van Nieuwkerk on VARA/Nederland 3's talkshow "De Wereld Draait Door" on March 1st to discuss "Vliegende Hollanders: Sterren van de Schans" (in which she appears as a member of the jury). Patty admitted that the second episode of SBS 6 ski jumping competition was edited differently than the first one. But it was too late: the TV show lost almost half of its audience and only drew 601.000 viewers (market share: 8.5%) three days ago. Miss Brard told Van Nieuwkerk: "The problem is that it's edited like a studio program whereas it's supposed to be an outdoors show. I was promised that the second episode would be better in terms of editing. Many things happen after the jump: how people are being taken care of or how they interact". After the success of "Sterren Springen" (aka "Celebrity Splash") which was adapted in many countries, SBS 6 expected "Vliegende Hollanders" to be a hit.
