Bonnie & José : "Zoals Vrienden Doen" on "Nederland Muziekland" (YouTube Video)

On August 27th, Bonnie St.Claire & José Hoebee took part in the taping of SBS 6's music show "Nederland Muziekland" in Ede, NL. The program aired on television last month (see news posted on October 13th 2013). The ladies performed their iconic duet "Zoals Vrienden Doen" (the Dutch cover version of ABBA's The Way Old Friends Do). Karin Angeleyes, one of my Facebook friends, uploaded the video of the duo's performance on YouTube. I would like to thank her.

Moreover the whole broadcast of "Nederland Muziekland" (featuring Bonnie & José) is available on the website of "Omroep Brabant" (a Dutch local channel). Click here to watch it. The singers appear at 13:00.

Bonnie & José: TV comeback on "Nederland Muziekland"

Finally it happened!!! Yesterday afternoon, SBS 6's music show "Nederland Muziekland" aired and featured many Dutch artists (including Bonnie St. Claire and José Hoebee). The broadcast date of the ladies' performance has been uncertain for a while. The program was taped in late August with an attendance of 13.000 people in Ede, NL (see news posted on August 28th 2013). However, it only drew 25.000 viewers (market share: 2%).

The reunion of "Bonnie & José" has been a fact since last summer but yesterday saw their real comeback on television.

Erratum: broadcast date of "Nederland Muziekland" with Bonnie & José

Recently I posted an article about the performance of Bonnie St. Claire & José Hoebee on SBS 6 music show "Nederland Muziekland" (see news posted on September 5th 2013). However I made a mistake in the broadcast date. I've been confirmed by the twitter account of the TV program that the right date is October 5th.

SBS 6 will air part 1 of the "Nederland Muziekland" show on September 7th at 3.30 pm. Recently Bonnie St. Claire & José Hoebee as well as famous Dutch and Flemish singers (including Gerard Joling, René Froger, K3 and Glennis Grace) took part in the taping of the music program in Ede, NL (see news posted on August 28th 2013). Bonnie & José performed "Zoals Vrienden Doen", the Dutch cover version of ABBA's "The Way Old Friends Do".

Yesterday, the taping of SBS 6 music program "Nederland Muziekland" took place at the market square of Ede, NL. 13.000 spectators attended the show which featured performances by famous Dutch artists like Gerard Joling, René Froger, K3, Glennis Grace as well as Bonnie St.Claire & José Hoebee. Bonnie & José on "Nederland Muziekland"

Bonnie St. Claire and José Hoebee will be performing on SBS 6's music show "Nederland Muziekland". Recently, the ladies decided to make their comeback as a duo (see news posted on August 14th 2013). The taping of the TV program will take place on August 27th from 7.00 to 11.00 pm at the market square in Ede, NL. Other artists will participate: Gerard Joling, Gordon, Rene Froger, Glennis Grace, Drukwerk, K3, Grant and Forsyth, Jason Bouman, Jannes, Wolter Kroes, Frans Duijts & Django Wagner, Ralf Mackenbach, Djumbo, Grad Damen, Vinzzent, Helemaal Hollands, Jaap Reesema and Dennie Christian.

Nederland Muziekland is part of the history of Dutch television. It started in 1981 on Veronica Channel. It stopped in 1994. RTL 4 took it over between 1996 and 1998. SBS 6 relaunched it earlier this year.

Luv' appeared twice on Nederland Muziekland: in July 1981 (to mark their first break-up) and twelve years later (during the 1993 comeback). As solo vocalists, José and Patty Brard also sang on the legendary program.

Bonnie & José want to relaunch their duo

In early June, I announced that Bonnie St. Claire and José Hoebee could be booked for live performances (see news posted on June 2nd 2013). Last week, ShowNu.nl posted an article about the ladies' comeback. "Bonnie called me some time ago and asked me if I wanted to work with her again and it was a good idea," José told the celebrity gossip site.

In the mid 1980's, Bonnie & José were famous for their Dutch cover versions of ABBA songs. They recorded a LP entitled "Herinnering" (produced by Will Hoebee and approved by the gentlemen of ABBA: Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson). The album has never been issued officially on CD. However, digitally remastered copies were available through the now-defunct Fonos.nl site but they were not authentic.

"Our plan is to release the album on CD with a new single", José said enthusiastically.

In August, the two singers will be performing on SBS 6 music show "Nederland Muziekland". On July 30th, De Telegraaf will publish an article about their new collaboration.
